So, this mob rang me pretending to be from the RSPCA, casually dropping my name like they knew me! But as soon as I brushed off their weird donation pitch, they just hung up. Dodgy, right?

This is not a scam. It is Amnesty International. They do not call unsolicited. You have more than likely requested one of the free stickers regarding various causes advertised through facebook, instagram and probably all the others to. It is not a scam you have brought the calls onto yourself by happily giving your personal information online. Which you shouldn't do if you aren't willing to answer your phone due to your fear of the debt collection agencies finally getting a hold of you.

Oi! Enough already with the relentless calls from this number. I've blocked 'em but they just won’t take a hint. Today's count is ridiculous!

Phishing scam. Saved number as Scam Alert in my contacts. Just looked at call history and they have phoned me over 10 times in a week. No message left. I’ll try blocking them again. Hope they getting sweet f all for their efforts.

I’ve received several phone calls from 0488829873. They leave a voicemail stating they’re from Advance Impact Charity. I’ve also received an email from them. I’ve contacted the main number listed for them in Google, but the message says the phone number is disconnected. The address given is a completely different business. I’ve tried blocking the mobile number, and reported it as spam, but am still receiving the phone calls.

In other cases, the caller pretends to be from a government authority and asks for personal information such as name, date of birth, and address.”

I initially engaged with this number but ultimately decided to block it after receiving multiple calls—five in total—despite my attempts to ignore them. Even after blocking, I still received notifications that they were trying to reach me.
