Sceptical.
Also receive a call from a person claiming to be from Somerton Group also and that they were going to provide information pack on some new changes to the taxation laws which the government are planning to phase out the pension.
They mentioned a few details regarding myself and my wife including occupation we worked in etc... And that we had spoken to them in the past. I couldn't recall, but I thought give them a benefit of the doubt as they seemed to have gotten that info from somewhere.
Their aim was to get you to make a booking for their consultant to come and see you and provide you the tax pack.
I was about to agree, until they asked for the address, which I realised they actually didn't have my details, which means which had not engaged with them before.
The call was escalated to his team leader "Michael" ... who tried to push hard, which put me off some more and realised something fishy about their call.
I would advise people to just not bother, and treat this as a scam call if you do receive their call.
They ask for home owner. When questioned they are hesitant in saying who they are and giving their phone number. When pressed they say its the tax office - but don't even know the home owner's name! Calls as Private number.
