I received a call claiming someone was trying to make transactions with my MasterCard on my Westpac account. However, I don't have a MasterCard or an account with Westpac. The call center background noise made it difficult to hear clearly.
I received a call claiming to be from NBN, stating that modem updates were occurring in my area. They attempted to schedule an appointment for a technician to come to my house and change the modem. The call seemed suspicious, so I declined their offer and hung up.
The same level of suspicion applies to this lowlife scammer who did not leave a message. A report has been submitted.
