Had a call from 08 62560828 today - sounded like an Indian woman- said she was from PayPal Australia and the line was breaking up so difficult to get all the info - she had my name but I didn't acknowledge - I asked her who she was and from where? She said they were blocking a very large transaction made today and did I make it and when was my last use of PayPal - I told her I couldn't remember, I would check and phone her back - she asked did my relatives or friends use my PayPal account - I said I couldn't understand her due to the static but I would phone her back - She then hung up. About 1 minute later, I got a call then from 03 70499896 - a foreign man supposedly from PayPal Aust - again lots of static and he hung up when I said I couldn't hear.. Obviously a scam - I checked with PayPal Aust by phoning their contact number from their website - and no transactions had been stopped or processed for large amounts. DEFINITELY a Scam.
