I recommend blocking and deleting this number. In general, any number that starts with the prefix (08) 6255 is likely to be spam.

I have been receiving frequent calls from this number and others like it, particularly in the early evening hours. Thanks to previous reports I've read, I will not answer these calls and will save this number in my Spam Caller contacts. It's alarming how many calls I've received—almost daily for weeks now.

This is a scammer that called me twice, first from (08) 6255 6952 and then from (08) 6255 6931. They claimed to be from a company called "Funding Network" and wanted to speak to the business owner.

This number called but as it had no business name and I didn't recognise it I didn't answer (I recommend you do the same for unknown callers!) Later I called back from a public pay phone - NOT my own number!! - and they answered "hello?" I said I'd missed a call from this number and wanted to know who it was, they said "Funding Network. May I speak to the business owner please?" I said no, this is not a business and the guy said "may I have your full name, address and date of birth?" so I said no, and my number is on the Do Not Call Register anyway so you mustn't be a legitimate business or you'd have known that, and hung up.

So this is NOT a legit Aust. business. Some mob called "Funding Network" going around making cold calls looking for business owners offering them loans, without knowing who they're calling, is very suspicious.

I'm convinced this is a scam call, it fits the pattern anyway.... it's a "spare" landline number, calling at about the same time the scammers always try and call. Real businesses don't use spare numbers and they do want their business name to appear when they call you. So these guys are fake.

I googled "Funding Network" and the only review said they were constantly making nuisance calls. Sounds like they just want to harvest people's contact details for other scams.

"Spare number" landline calls in the afternoon are usually the scammers, they've been pestering me for years. This fits the pattern of scam calls I've been getting but I no longer answer calls if I don't know who they are, especially from landlines.

If it was a legitimate business then a business name should have appeared with the number. Plus this being a "spare" number is a bad sign.

I don't know if it's safe or not but it seems high risk.
