Yep, definitely a scammer. This time with an Hyundai I20 in Perth. Pulls the same Military, Tasmania, NZ line and asks for money to be put in Escrow.
There is a scammer calling with offers to sell cars, attempting to deceive people into giving them money.
Many anomalies with his Auto-trader advertisement for a Grey Mitsubishi Triton for sale.
Title says 2014 Mitsubishi Triton and the description is 2017. Number plate declared does not exist upon searching online.
He says he is in the military training in Tasmania and is about to be deployed to New Zealand, however his facebook says differently.
Declares he has a Masters degree (who doesn't) and works for a mining company (unknown if this is true and if the degree is legitimate).
His address is in the northern suburbs of WA but the car is located in the southern suburbs.
Pay money into an Escrow account and 2-3 days later the car will arrive.
I asked to take the car for test drive, did not provide an answer for this request (difficult to do if car does not exist).
SCAM, cheap car, low kms. Do not deal with this person.
This number belongs to a person who is selling cars they do not own. They falsely claim to be shipping these cars from other states and offer them at extremely low prices. Additionally, they pose as a military personnel, which made me realize this is a blatant scam.
