I just had a call from a number claiming to have a car for sale in Darwin. The caller requested $1,000 to arrange shipping. After searching the mobile number, I saw that this has been reported as a scam before.
I was scammed by this individual who took my motorcycle and subsequently threatened me. I have reported this incident to the South Australian police, who have been extremely helpful. This person needs to be held accountable. They contacted me again on Sunday, demanding an additional $300 for delivery, but I'm not paying that. I hope the police catch them before they can take advantage of someone else. I also found out that their bank is Teachers Mutual Bank, where they have two accounts.
I regret not researching this phone number before engaging. I posted an ad on Gumtree seeking car parts, and this individual tricked me into paying $1,500 by falsely claiming he had what I needed. Months later, he continues to harass me with messages. I truly hope someone can take action against this scammer.
Scammed by a bloke claiming to be Alan Sinclair from Darwin responding to a Gumtree ad I placed.
I called a person who identified himself as Alan Sinclair. Fortunately, I researched his number before proceeding further, as he was attempting to scam me.
I encourage everyone to check the other reports from this individual dated in May. They have been reported for years, and it appears that people even know his residential address in Victoria. I’d love to hear any updates about visits made to him.
I've heard that this individual uses several different phone numbers. It's worth checking online as there are posts detailing this issue, and more information can be found if one looks closely.
I wanted to share some information for those concerned about scams. I looked up "scammed by Daniel Falzon," and there are numerous reports about him, including using different phone numbers. In addition to this one, he has used 0431 864 518 and 0435 143 978. I encourage everyone to check it out; it's quite informative and could be useful.
This caller is associated with Gumtree scams. They provide only locations that are far from where I live, and I suspect they are operating from Sydney. When confronted about their scams, they resort to threats. Any name they use is likely fake, and they will ask for money that goes directly to their account.
The caller is identified as Daniel Falzon, operating in the Hoppers/Williams Landing area of VIC. This individual is known to scam people while using different names to disguise his identity.
I'm currently dealing with someone who is trying to scam me. I advise everyone to be cautious and vigilant! 😎
This phone number is associated with a scammer who has attempted to extract personal banking information. They use the name Rodney Kearns with bank details: BSB 636-636, Account 47503603 from Darwin, and possibly another scammer named Graham Mabbs with BSB 670-864, Account 10672244 from South Australia. Never provide any personal details to them or anyone that calls from this number.
I strongly advise against any dealings with someone named "Robert," who is a known serial scammer operating on Gumtree.
Received a call from someone named Robert from Darwin regarding my listing. The caller hurried to finalize the sale and became defensive when I simply inquired about the product's ownership. He refused to provide additional photos even though I expressed willingness to wait. I recommend avoiding any dealings with this person.
You’re right he will be brought to justice very soon.
Scammer beware.
Be warned, this person is a Gumtree scammer! They will send you a photo of a product you're interested in, but it’s likely that they simply stole that image from Google.
