Identifying the Scam Linked to 0410 427 403
Many Australians have reported receiving suspicious messages from the phone number 0410 427 403 / 0410427403, categorizing it as a parcel delivery scam. In a notable incident reported on 24/07/2023, users received messages claiming that their parcels could not be delivered due to missing address information. The message urged recipients to click on a link to provide their personal details.
Understanding the Scam
This particular scam operates by masquerading as a communication from the Australian Postal Service (AUpost). The user reported a message that included an impersonation of AUpost's branding and terminology. However, several red flags signal that this is a scam:
- Misspelled URL: The link included in the message was "I.auspost-sevrice.com," which not only contained a spelling error but also deviated from the legitimate domain of the Australian postal service.
- Generic Tracking Numbers: Legitimate tracking numbers typically have letters and numbers combined, while the number in the scam message consisted only of digits.
- Request for Personal Information: Genuine delivery notifications from AUpost do not ask customers to provide personal details via an unsecured website.
Steps to Take if You Receive a Call or Message from This Number
If you receive a message or call from 0410 427 403 / 0410427403, it is crucial to maintain caution and follow these steps:

What Our Users Reviewed
Got a message from +61 410 427 403 saying: "Due to lack of address information provided, your parcel was not delivered. Rearrange next attempt via xxxxxx before 24th July"
When clicked in the link, took me to a form with the AUpost logo to fill in with all my details (name, residential address) and the website was: I.auspost-sevrice. Com (misspelled yeah). And the tracking number displayed was only numbers (not common in Auspost) and in the official website of AUspost the tracking number didn't exit.
