02 3815 4726 (0238154726): 13 reports reveal persistent Meta/Facebook marketing calls. One contributor confirmed impersonation after verifying with Facebook; others report 6-11 calls in weeks despite being on Do Not Call register.

Meta Marketing Spam and Impersonation Reports for 02 3815 4726

Community reports for 02 3815 4726 (also written as 0238154726) reveal a pattern of persistent unwanted calls claiming to be from Meta or Facebook regarding marketing and advertising opportunities. Of the 13 reports, seven contributors categorised calls from this number as spam, one identified impersonation tactics, two confirmed legitimate Meta contact, and three marked the calls as uncertain.

A critical report from October 2025 describes a caller claiming to be Facebook with a logo displayed on screen. The contributor verified directly with Meta's official channels and confirmed the call was fraudulent spam. This verification distinguishes deliberate impersonation from aggressive legitimate telemarketing, though the impersonation attempt raises concerns about the number's use across different caller identities.

What Callers from 02 3815 4726 Claim

Contributors report callers identifying themselves as Meta representatives, sometimes using specific names like "Kevin." The stated purpose across multiple reports is offering advertising opportunities and discussing marketing accounts. One contributor noted the caller wanted to "speak with business marketing professional about account." Another received "11 calls in 8 weeks about marketing opportunities with Meta/Facebook."

Several reports highlight the aggressive frequency of calls from 0238154726. One contributor experienced "6 times in 5 minutes" from this number, while a receptionist described the caller as "painful till the very end" and a "timewaster." A retired couple received calls despite having "zero interest in Facebook... and even less interest in advertising with them." The pattern suggests either inadequate Do Not Call compliance or deliberate disregard for contributor preferences.

Call Patterns and Frequency

Reports span from January 2024 to January 2026, indicating sustained calling activity over two years. A contributor with years of harassment from 02 3815 4726 noted the repetition has been ongoing for an extended period. The most intense activity appears concentrated in early 2025, with multiple reports in January, February, and May of that year describing multiple calls within short timeframes.

One contributor explicitly stated the number is on the Do Not Call register yet continues receiving calls, suggesting either a data breach or deliberate non-compliance. A late-night call at 12:08 AM from this number prompted one report, indicating calls occur outside typical business hours. Several contributors who called back heard a recording stating "it's from Meta" but also that "they don't accept incoming calls," creating a one-way communication barrier typical of automated spam systems.

Legitimate Meta Calls vs. Impersonation

Two contributors reported legitimate contact from 02 3815 4726 related to actual advertising accounts with Meta. One noted: "I have had many calls from Meta marketing reps talking to me about advertising I do and their caller ID is usually a NSW area code even if they're from overseas offices such as Singapore and Philippines." This suggests the number may be legitimately used by Meta's marketing division for outbound campaigns from their NSW operations.

However, the impersonation report and the frequency of unwanted calls from 0238154726 indicate the number is also being misused. The contributor who verified the October 2025 call as fraudulent checked with Meta directly and confirmed it was spam, despite the caller displaying a Meta logo. This dual usage pattern-partly legitimate business calls, partly impersonation attempts-makes 02 3815 4726 particularly deceptive.

I have no idea why we're getting these calls. We're retired and have zero interest in Facebook (as the call comes up as), and even less interest in advertising with them.

The caller from this number is painful till the very end! I'm on Reception and do not need timewasters like this calling and jamming up the line when other legitimate calls are coming in!!!

Any number that says it doesn't have a callback option is a scam in my opinion.

I have blocked it.

I also hear a recording saying it's from Meta when I call back, and that they don't accept incoming calls (stupid - they don't leave messages and they don't accept incoming calls). However, this could be very legit as I have had many calls from Meta marketing reps talking to me about advertising I do and their caller ID is usually a NSW area code even if they're from overseas offices such as Singapore and Phillipines. And usually I hear this recording if I try to call them back.

When you call back it says you missed a call from meta.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is 02 3815 4726 a real Meta/Facebook number?

The number 02 3815 4726 (0238154726) is allocated to a NSW local service provider, and Meta does use Australian numbers for legitimate marketing outreach. However, reports show the number is also being used for spam and at least one impersonation attempt. One contributor verified a call claiming to be Facebook with Meta directly and confirmed it was fraudulent. If Meta contacts you via 02 3815 4726, independently verify through your Meta Business Manager account or Meta's official support channels-do not rely on the incoming call alone.

Why do callers from 0238154726 claim to be Meta but say they don't accept callbacks?

Several contributors reported that calling back 02 3815 4726 triggers a recording saying the caller is from Meta and doesn't accept incoming calls. This unusual setup-refusing callbacks while making unsolicited outbound calls-is typical of automated spam systems designed to avoid accountability. Legitimate Meta representatives typically accept return calls during business hours. This callback restriction is a red flag that the calls from this number should not be trusted without independent verification.

How many calls from 02 3815 4726 have been reported?

13 contributors have reported calls from 02 3815 4726 (0238154726) on Reverseau. Seven marked them as spam, one identified impersonation, two confirmed legitimate Meta contact, and three categorised them as uncertain. One contributor reported being called "11 times in 8 weeks," while another experienced "6 calls in 5 minutes" from this number, indicating highly aggressive calling patterns.

Is 02 3815 4726 on the Do Not Call register?

According to one report, a contributor has 0238154726 registered on the Do Not Call register (donotcall.gov.au) yet continues to receive calls from this number. This suggests either inadequate compliance by the caller or potential data breaches. If you're registered on the Do Not Call list and receiving repeated calls from 02 3815 4726, file a complaint directly with the ACMA at acma.gov.au, as continued calling after registration is a violation.

What should I do if 02 3815 4726 claims Meta needs to discuss my advertising account?

Do not engage with claims about your advertising account based solely on a call from 02 3815 4726. Instead, independently verify by logging into your Meta Business Manager account to check for any legitimate messages, or contact Meta's official support channels directly. One contributor's verification with Meta proved the October 2025 call was fraudulent despite the caller displaying a Meta logo and claiming to represent the company. Always verify through official channels before discussing account details.

Can I block 02 3815 4726 permanently?

Yes. Block 0238154726 in your phone's settings to prevent calls from this number reaching you directly. Most smartphone systems allow you to block numbers and automatically send them to voicemail or reject them. Given the persistent calling pattern reported by contributors-including calls spanning multiple years-blocking is recommended. However, blocking does not stop the caller from attempting to reach you; reporting to the ACMA and Do Not Call Register provides regulatory enforcement against continued violations.
