"Michael" from Telstra calling about my internet... Blah blah blah.
Said I don't have internet at home and they just hung up. Number Blocked.
Received a call from 03 97817489, told me my Telstra Internet was running slow, I said I’m not with Telstra.. He argued with me that I was with a Telstra and that he will disconnect me if I don’t do the speed test … yep, hung up on him and blocked the number.
SCAMMER - Ringwood VIC phone number. Called me from “Telstra” to advise that they had been receiving fluctuations in my home internet speed and that they needed me to run a speed test and they were going to upgrade my router.
I advised I was not at home, therefore was not connected to my home internet and l could not therefore run a speed test. I also advised that I had moved houses and that the router was not currently connected with Telstra.
This seemed to confuse the lady I was speaking to.
She said she was transferring me to a supervisor to run me through how to do the speed test.
The supervisor checked that his colleague had told me why they were calling. I confirmed that she had said there were fluctuations in my Internet speed and they needed me to run a speed test and they were replacing my router.
He confirmed this was the reason for the call.
I advised the “supervisor” that I had just moved properties and asked them to confirm which property they were calling about - he promptly hung up!
