    Went to voicemail "please check your app'' so guessing it was ubereats as we didn't answer when they knocked. We had asked them to leave it at the doorstep. Probably was them to let us know.

    Apparently this is uber?

    Says they were calling from Quambone, NSW. I didn't answer as I wasn’t sure who the number was or expecting a phone call.

    I haven’t ordered anything was browsing on the app and just sent a link to a friend with my referral code & then received a phone call. I don’t understand why they would be calling and why my number was shared. Like that to do so.

    It's Uber eats delivery, only time I ever get a call from Uber eats is from a Woolworths delivery, even though I stated to leave at the door and the exact location with instructions, some will call you, so they don't have to hop out of there car and place the groceries at your doorstep, annoying as hell, I just put my phone in aeroplane mode and act like I am not home.

    If this number is calling you, you have an order on the way. Save it to your phone for convenience if you use Uber a lot.

    I can see from the other posts that this is from Uber. I didn't order anything but received a text with a code and then received a phone call. I didn't answer the call because I didn't recognise the number.

    Same. I had Uber eats last night.

    Had the missed call and it was the lady. It disguises their mobile numbers.

    Which I understand.

    But at 7 pm at night I’m not answering an interstate call haha.

    I’m in Qld.

    Probably uber eats - I didn't answer and they didn't leave message but it coincided with an uber eats arrival and others on this site have said it was uber eats. I'm in South Australia but this was an (02) number ie NSW so I didn't connect it with my delivery.

    Telephone scammers try to steal your money or personal information. Scams may come through phone calls from real people, robocalls, or text messages.

    Call or message may be a scam if:

    • You're asked for personal information or money;
    • Text messages tell you to urgently click a link or call a number;
    • The call or text pretends to be from someone you trust like your phone company or bank;
    • You're being threatened or made to feel scared;
    • The caller wants to access and control your computer.

    To protect yourself:

    • Don't answer if you don't know who it is. Let the call go to voicemail.
    • If a caller leaves a message claiming to be from known organisation, cross check the number the call came from against the organisation's official website.
    • Never share any personal information about yourself or your bank details.
    • Don't click on any links. Never let a stranger take control of your computer.
    • Do not send any money.
    • Block calls on your mobile phone. Your phone company can tell you how to block calls to your home phone.
