I received a call at 8.16 am on Sunday morning claiming to be from VOW Home loans. The number was blocked and when they asked me to verify myself with personal details, I told them my name and birthdate which they could not verify. I told them where to go but received a follow-up text to call1800 00 77 22.

I called VOW on their usual phone numbers, but all quoted their business times at Mon-Fri 9 am to 5 pm. I called this number and a robo voice, sounding much the same as the caller's voice answered going through the usual VOW home loans call option.

It all sounds like a SCAM.

I reported this to VOW, who will probably attend to the matter in the next week or three, their usual response time to emails.
