What Our Users Reviewed
Not a scam. I phoned my bank's public number and was given the following plausible explanation.
This is a genuine number for a direct call to the bank in question. It is not listed under that bank's general enqiry information as it is to give customers a direct line without having to wait on their public enquiry line. If, as anonymous says it was about a bank that they don't have an account with it is because his or his wife's phone number would have been wrongly placed in that other account by one of the bank's staff. If you receive this text message, phone the bank in question on their public enquirey number for an explanation, just to be sure.
This is a scam. My wife got 2 of these purporting to be from banks - one she doesn't have an account with. I got one today - 27th July 2017, about a non-relevant matter asking me to call if I hadn't received the access card they sent within 5 days.
