Hi guys...It's about 6 times that I receive an email from "Baycorp" telling me to call a free number for a personal urgent matter.

I don't believe a single word of what they said, everytime my surname is wrong and I'm 100% sure I don't have anything pending.

So I'm certain is a pure scam!

Thanks everyone to have shared your experience as well. It's been useful!

I received a letter from "Baycorp Collections Department" phone 1300558829 in regards to an urgent matter. I did call and the phone was answered by an asian man trying to sound either english or american who, very determinedly, endeavoured to extract my personal details from me to verify my identity. He explained that this was a letter sent to anyone who had the same name as mine in an effort to locate the correct person. I was required to provide my details, when I refused to give him the requested information and pressed him for a brief overview of the said dishonoured debt, I was stonewalled and was informed I would be continued to be contacted until I proved I was not the person in question. I had put the phone on speaker, my partner had heard the entire conversation and when he started to make accusations of being a scam did the male person go quiet and then terminated the call. I will be reporting this to Baycorp Collections as well.116.

They say they are from BAYCORP COLLECTIONS DEPARTMENT. The call is off shore in Philipines. Asked what was nature of call, all they wanted was my personal information. I did not give it but requested an invoice on supposed money owing and to whom. They hung up.
