What Our Users Reviewed
Received a call from an Asian male asking if I had been involved in an accident. I told him no and how did he get my number as it is a silent number. He said that I reported an accident and his company SSTS Compensation Ltd could assist. I told him that I had not been in an accident and that I am a Police Officer. He told me he runs numbers through person look up and was very sorry and that he would not ring me again.
We have had several calls from this number during the last week (about 5 per day) He says that our number reported an accident that we were in when we say we haven't been in an accident he basically calls us liars.
I phoned back from a different number asked them to stop calling our work number as we don't have time to put up with there crap and he then asks for a job!!!! He also told me his name was Ron and he had a very heavy accent.
The first time I phoned the number back an english speaking lady answered then when I explained what I wanted she hung up.
It is getting very frustrating as they keep tying up our phone lines and that is what our business relies on, our customers being able to contact us.
This guy is currently calling one of our state branches every 3-5 minutes !!!
How to have this number blocked?? Or will it just move to another number ?
These people have been calling my number for days, I finally answered, knowing full well it was a scam, if only to tell them to stop ringing me, he was such a smug bastard, said there wasn't anything I could do about it because he was overseas and not bound by our laws, and that I could hang up if I liked but he would not end the call, then he started getting sleazy saying I should give him information about my female family members so he could contact them as well, it was disgusting and plain nasty... I am not one to be intimidated and I broke my own rule of JUST HANG UP, but I was pissed off with the arrogance of it, there has to be some way of stopping this.
Absolute scammers. Saw number on home phone caller id last wk, didn't recognise so let it go to message.. No message left so assumed telemarketer.
Rang again yesterday, did same thing again. So I called number from my mobile but made sure my number was hidden. Told him I had a missed call the other day & asked what it was regarding... He says "ahhh it was about an accident you were in" & I ask how do you know I was in an accident when I haven't even told you my name and you don't have my number? He starts rambling, I ask his name, heavy accented man with broken English claimed to be "Ron Williams" (ahhh no I think not) & says he's from an accident investigation team. I ask name of company, he directs me to a website which is clearly a website set up with sole intention of making the scam outfit appear legitimate...don't think I'll be checking that out thanks mate.... Anyway, I ask him for specific details like abn/asic number so that I cam independently verify his credentials etc and he keeps saying no no maam please go to our website... At this point. I let him ramble on and pretend im a bit gullible so he thinks he's convincing me (purely for my own amusement because hearing him pathetically try so hard is funny- & also to tie up his line so he scams less people!).
And then I say "you're amazing Ron, I was in an accident this morning, the bullets still lodged in my thigh can you help meeee" then I prompty moan and shriek and he hangs up... I ring again 5 min later, ask for him personally (but of course he answers) & say I've been in an accident a shark bit my arm off can you help"...he hangs up. My phone just happens to tie up his line for a bit... Poor "Ron"....not many wins today... But a lot of maimed people calling for his help lol... Nxt time ill have a whistle nxt to the phone and rupture his ear drum!
Had a call from this number claiming the number had been provided at the scene of an accident. I laughed and told him not to call my number again, as this is a scam and I'm in no mood to have you bullshit to me. He said it wasn't a scam, so I asked what sort of car do I drive, where was the accident, what is my name, what is the claim number and who am I insured with? He couldn't answer any of my questions. And to completely stuff him up he rang whilst I was working from home so I answered the phone as I do at work lol threw him for a 6er and meant he couldn't provide one of the basic things that would be on a claim is my name!!!
This is a complete scam and if you listen to the whole spiel and fall for it you deserve to be taken!!!!
Called me 3 times in 5 minutes saying he was from an Accident Insurance Company. First he said his name was Harry then David and then he said his name was John.
Asked him for proof of his company, as it is not listed on the Australian Business Register. He started getting angry then claimed to be a Solicitor, I rebuked with "sounds like you're a telemarketer, as I can here the others in the background" to which he hung up.
I got a call from this number - and the usual delay from auto dialer - from telemarketers who use predictive dial.. Then the usual accent and speel. I say don't call me again and remove me from your call list. He said I will call you a hundred times.
This i9s the second time I have received a call from this number. This time a male with an Indian or Asian accent said his name was 'Allen' and he was from the Accident Investigation Commission. Seeing I had already been contacted by someone a few months ago I told him he was a scammer and hung up. Last time the an tried to tell me I had been involved in a motor vehicle accident in New South Wales. The thing is, I have never driven a car in New South Wales in my life, so I knew he was shonky.
I got a call saying someone reported an accident I hung updated.
