I identify this number as part of a scam call. As soon as I heard an Indian accent, I hung up, as it seemed like a fake number.
This is yet another call from scammers. Instead of scamming people, they should really get a proper job and stop these activities.
The same scammers have been trying to call on this and some numbers 3 times every day. I always block any number not in my contacts list, you should too if it's your personal number. You can also buy devices to block calls to landlines, or contact your phone provider for help.
Eventually if you keep on blocking the calls slow down and *almost* stop. Then they start up again much more frequently - I think this is when they give up and sell your number on a list with others, and the next boiler room scam call centre tries to get their money's worth. If I keep blocking them they try harder and harder and eventually they give up too, and sell it to the next one. So it's intense for a while, slows right down, stops for 2 or 3 weeks then comes back hard for another 2 weeks before slowing down again. But still keep doing it, it does reduce the frequency after a while, and when they look at your number on their database they see that you're not a "hot one" who is known to answer their calls.
