Scammer alert!! Said was from Amazon and that an Apple iPhone 16 was attempted to be purchased from Amazon using my Amazon account. I don't have an Amazon account and so knew it was a scammer with the background noise and tone of attempt to make me engage. I played along for around 5 minutes until the scammer got frustrated and called me an idiot!:-) I need to look into being one of those scam busters.

Call saying they were from the National Broadband Network and my IP address was compromised as it was changed to public opening it up to hackers. Then told to Google what's my IP address on the phone. They then wanted me to tell them what details come up etc... Considering banks and govt agencies never call you, knew it was a scam from the start.

The caller knew my name and claimed to represent a company with "satellite" in its name. They alleged that someone overseas attempted to use my PayPal account to make a purchase of $1,800. I mentioned I would verify this claim and then hung up.

A caller from this number claimed to be from Telstra and wanted to discuss issues regarding spam emails and internet problems, which I had not experienced. When I suggested that it sounded like a scam and mentioned I would contact Telstra directly to verify, the caller became loud and insistently demanded that I continue the conversation, so I decided to hang up.

Left a voicemail because their system doesn’t know the difference, said they were calling from Amazon about a suspicious order and I could cancel it etc.

Scam caller with nothing to do, no hopes or goals and often I just tell them that they’re whole family is disappointed in them.

Just received a call from them, pretending to be from the bank. They said that they had noticed suspect activity on my account. When I queried what account, they said 'your everyday account'. I advised that I had multiple accounts, and they responded with 'Commonwealth Bank'. I advised that I do not have a Commonwealth Bank account, and they promptly hung up.
