0485 883 052 - Scam Number Targeting Financial Information

The call showed an Australian location. There was silence on the line, then an AI voice asked me to press one if I was registered as a Republican. I hung up immediately and blocked the number.

I received a call regarding an alleged Amazon charge of $99.99 on my Mastercard. I'm frustrated with these types of calls and believe these individuals need to face serious consequences for their actions.

A caller claiming to be from a bank's security department contacted me, asking about a $500 overseas transaction. I mistakenly confirmed the transaction, and after I responded affirmatively, the caller abruptly hung up without another word. I have since blacklisted this number.

Called me 30 May 2023. Indian male missed his name but said he was from Commonwealth Bank and did I authorise an amount of $800 from my account this morning. Told him to bugger off and hung up.

This number called me four days ago claiming to be from Telstra, but I don’t have any accounts with them. Today, I received another call from a number claiming to be Commbank. I suspect both calls were scams.

Please be cautious with this unlisted number; it is likely another spoofed number used by cyber criminals. I didn't recognize it, so I let it ring out without answering and no message was left.

I don't answer unknown numbers but they left a message saying they were from Amazon Prime about my account. Have 3or 4 calls every week from this scam Amazon Prime and block the numbers but they keep on calling. I never answer.

Today they are scammers calling from "Commonwealth Bank in Australia", hung up after identifying herself as Constantine Elizabeth.

At least twice a day this same voice message when I don’t answer from this number & similar numbers.

I receive the same voice message from this number, and various similar numbers, at least twice a day, claiming fraud on my Mastercard accounts. I want to make it clear that I do NOT have a Mastercard, indicating that this is a scam.

I received a voicemail stating that there has been an unusual charge of $99 on my Mastercard. However, I don’t own a Mastercard, which made me skeptical about this call.

Although I received calls from this number labeling it as potential fraud, I blocked it. Yet, two weeks later, they called again, and they reached out once more after three weeks. I suggest not answering these calls.

I was contacted by someone asking if I had approved an $800 transaction within the last 30 minutes. I informed them that I do not possess a Visa or Mastercard, to which they claimed the charge was from my internet banking account. This sounds highly questionable to me.

I screened this phone number and attempted to call it back, but the call failed. I recommend blocking this number to avoid any future issues.
