Repeated-Call Spam Reports for 0485 880 387
Two contributors have reported spam calls from 0485 880 387 (also written as 0485880387) involving solar installation sales with aggressive calling patterns. The most recent report describes a deliberate callback-lure tactic where the caller rings multiple times per day but hangs up after just a couple of rings, then immediately calls back - stopping short of allowing the call to ring out completely. This pattern repeats up to four times in succession, designed to trigger a callback from the recipient.
The solar product being pitched sounds unrealistic, with one contributor noting the deal was "too good to be true" and accompanied by high-pressure sales tactics. Another contributor who answered a call from 0485880387 was pitched solar services and simply blocked the number after declining.
What Callers from 0485 880 387 Are Doing
The calling pattern from 0485 880 387 is intentionally disruptive. Rather than allowing calls to connect normally, callers are using the ring-and-hang-up method to prompt callback attempts. One contributor described receiving multiple calls per day without voicemail being left - the calls deliberately stop after a couple of rings, ensuring the recipient notices but cannot answer before the line disconnects.
When a call from 0485880387 does connect, the pitch is for solar panel installation. Contributors report this as a pressure sales approach rather than informational outreach. The combination of the callback-lure tactic with aggressive sales messaging suggests this is a high-volume telemarketing operation designed to get recipients to call back first, lowering the resistance to the sales pitch.
Call Patterns and Timing
One contributor reported multiple calls per day from 0485 880 387, with the most recent activity documented today (28 October 2026). The caller does not leave voicemails, indicating the goal is to provoke a callback rather than leave a message. The deliberate ring-and-disconnect pattern repeating four times in rapid succession is characteristic of automated dialling systems testing for active numbers or forcing accidental callbacks.
The second report, from February 2025, indicates this number has been used for solar sales outreach for at least several months, suggesting an ongoing campaign rather than isolated activity.
