The brevity of the report - described simply as "Call Centre SCAM" - suggests the contributor recognised the nature of the operation quickly during the call.

What This Number Appears to Be

While the exact nature of the scam was not detailed in the community report, call centre scams typically involve coordinated operations where multiple callers attempt to defraud or pressure recipients. The fact that it was identified as a call centre operation during the call itself suggests either audible background activity (multiple voices, office noise) or the caller's scripted behaviour pattern.

The use of a satellite mobile number (0485 841 962) by a call centre is notable, as it may indicate either overseas-based operation, deliberate obfuscation of the caller's location, or use of satellite services to avoid standard network tracking.
