Scam impersonating Medicare using a bit. Ly link and asking me to update my details.

From the official Medicare website:

"We won’t ask you to:

Click on a link in a text message or email to update your Medicare details.

Click on a link in a text message or email to get a payment or rebate.

Copy a URL or scan a QR code to log into your Medicare online account."

I received a scam call that was pretending to be from Medicare. The caller used a bit.ly link to request that I update my details. According to the official Medicare website, they never ask you to click on a link in a message to update your information or to access payments. Please beware of similar scams!
