This one's the real deal! I checked with their app support and they worked it all out for me. Good stuff!

I can confirm the intital and follow up sms message saying it was important I respond yes or no to whether I tried to make a purchase are legitimate messages from ANZ. I was concerned about a possible scam so I contacted ANZ via their app and once I confirmed I had not attempted to make a purchase and no-one would have had access to my card, they confirmed they had blocked my card and would dispatch a replacement card, as someone had attempted to make a purchase online using my card number. ANZ provided via their chat on their app a contact number for their Fraud & Scams First Responders of 1800 960 086 and said they will send out a fraud pack as well as dispatching a replacement card.

Received a call from someone claiming to be from ANZ, and they had the last four digits of my card all right. They've mentioned something about putting a hold on my card due to suspicious activity, but I've got these weird transactions coming out, and to be honest, I’m not sure if I should buy this or run for the hills!
