What's the Racket?
The repeated claims from callers identifying themselves as being affiliated with the Federal Police or the Federal Police Welfare Foundation reveal a common theme: misleading individuals into believing they are supporting a responsible cause. Users have described talks revolving around funding for drug awareness booklets, with claims of substantial amounts being solicited—like $450 for dubious initiatives. Many have ended conversations feeling pressured and convinced of the scam's legitimacy due to the callers' smooth and aggressive selling techniques.
Understanding the Scam
User reports indicate that the callers often employ a sense of urgency or necessity, asking potential victims to contribute to pressing social issues—such as drug education aimed at youth. The aggressiveness of their pitch raises further suspicion, especially for those who believe they were called out of the blue.
