Was responding to an ad to buy a mobile phone and the phone number +61 480 049 745 is linked to facebook page CW Mobile Pty Ltd with an address of the CW Mobile phone shop at 47 Bowman Rd, Caloundra QLD 4551. No such physical shop exists and the proported seller prefers to communicate via Facebook messenger on their CW Mobile page. For a shop to not accept credit card and only direct bank transfer (no Cash on Delivery either) is out of the ordinary. On the facebook page at time of writing (20/08/2024 4:50 pm) they have over 450 followers but none of the follower list is visible (its blocked) so are they real followers is the question. This same situation on the same day with another ("another" use loosely) mobile shop called Smart Gadgets purported to be located at 26 Bowman Rd, Caloundra QLD 4551, Australia I believe are linked as there is no such shop there using Google Maps. Both wanted direct bank deposit refusing payment by credit card, english was certainly not their first language. As soon as I told both parties that I will be sending a friend to the shop to go in person, both places wanted to know what time, does it matter if you are a mobile phone shop supposedly open from 9-5 pm and the other only stated he opened from 10 am... What are the chances that both these shops are on Bowman Rd, Caloundra or rather both parties are linked and using the same tactics. Just for reference how I first came across these people, the 1st deal was $400 for a Google Pixel 7 Pro with watch and wireless earbuds. The second deal was $500 for a Google Pixel 8 Pro with watch and earbuds - both deals were advertised on Facebook Marketplace before the respondee for each party replied and sent you to their Facebook company pages. Having checked the Australian Business Register, the business name checks out as registered but address cannot be verified. Personally, this smells like a scam.

Australia.

Be careful. Scammers!!

This number is associated an iPhone seller who claims to have a business name, Lime Mobile Pty Ltd.

They even put an address somewhere in a shopping centre in Queensland.

I myself went through their game with pretending to buy their original new iPhone 12 pro max with apple watch 6 gift!!.

But eventually they were exposed when I told them I had a friend waiting in that shopping centre looking for their shop!!

I even called the management of the shopping centre and they confirmed that they have never heard of this business before.
