Received a call about my super from 'Super Services Australia' claiming they got my details from ASIC. They were nice at first, but when I started probing, they got a bit too vague for comfort. Pretty fishy, I reckon.
I received a call from this number. Female with Aussie accent called “Kaia” was calling from some Superannuation company.
Claimed that she as my “account manager” was calling as I had supposedly requested a “check list” call back 1 month ago.
I told her this was incorrect as I had never asked anyone to call me back. She said “well it was a month ago, so you may not have remembered”
I said this was impossible as a month ago I was unreachable. She said maybe it was a bit more than a month ago. I said “well that is still impossible as I have been unreachable for the past 3 months”
She then said “well seeing as I have you ….”
I said “sorry to be rude, but I’m not interested”
She then said “but your file note says you requested a call back and I am now calling you back”
I then terminated the call.
I got a call from this number last night. When I picked up, there was silence in the background, and the caller hung up. I called back, and when I did it rang for what seemed like ages (odd because they literally had just called me), then went to a recorded message saying to leave a message.
When I answered a call from this number, it hung up. I tried calling back and got no answer. Recorded message (female, Aussie accent) “forwarding to voicemail, the person you are calling is not available, please leave a message”
Missed a call from this number. I called back and it rang for a long time before going to voicemail. Voicemail message simply stated “the person you are calling is not available, please leave a message”
Didn’t leave a message, but shortly after, the number called again. It only rang a couple of times then up. When I called it back again, same thing happened- no one answered and I got the same voicemail message.
