AI Robocall Reports for 02 8011 0397
Eight contributors have reported calls from 02 8011 0397 (also written as 0280110397) involving AI bot callers and automated messaging. The most distinctive pattern involves robotic voices or AI systems asking recipients by their first name, often with repeated calls when initial contact attempts are declined. Several reports specifically note calls occurring after midnight or late evening hours, suggesting a deliberate targeting strategy outside standard business times.
Multiple reports about 0280110397 indicate the callers already possess personal information like recipients' names, raising concerns about data sourcing. Contributors describe the AI bot behaviour as manipulative in nature, designed to prompt verbal responses that could be recorded or used to verify active numbers. The pattern across reports suggests this may be part of a lead verification or number validation scheme rather than a direct scam targeting payment or personal details.
What Callers from 02 8011 0397 Do
The robotic caller from 02 8011 0397 typically begins by asking if they are speaking with a specific person by first name. One contributor reported hearing keyboard typing sounds in the background followed by a recorded voice repeatedly asking "Am I speaking to Natalie?" even after the recipient refused to engage. When the recipient hung up, the number persisted with multiple additional calls within the same evening.
Another contributor described an AI bot caller asking for a recipient by name (Raymond) with what they characterised as manipulative tactics designed to elicit a spoken response. A third report mentioned a woman's voice calling just after midnight asking for the recipient by name, with the contributor noticing coaching or instruction happening in the background from someone else directing what should be said.
Across reports of 0280110397, there is consistent emphasis on the caller already knowing the recipient's name and using that knowledge to prompt engagement. Contributors note the calls feel automated or scripted rather than involving genuine human decision-making, with at least one reporter commenting on the AI bot's limited sophistication when engaged.
Call Patterns and Timing
Timing is a notable feature of reports about 02 8011 0397. The most recent contributor report occurred at 11:30 pm, with the AI bot making three consecutive calls after the initial hang-up. Another report documented a call just after midnight (00:10 am). An additional late-night call was reported at 11 pm with no voicemail left, further suggesting deliberate targeting during evening and night hours when recipients may be less cautious.
Call frequency varies but escalates when recipients do not engage. The contributor who received calls from 02 8011 0397 at 11:30 pm experienced three calls within a short timeframe before blocking the number. This persistence pattern, combined with the late timing and prior knowledge of names, indicates a systematic operation rather than random calling.
What to Do If You Receive a Call from 02 8011 0397
If 02 8011 0397 calls you:
- Do not: Confirm your identity, respond verbally to prompts, or engage with the AI system

- Do not: Return the call or dial any numbers the robocall mentions
- Do: If calls persist after blocking, document the times and dates for reporting purposes
- Important: A simple "yes" response to confirm your name or presence may be recorded and used to validate your number as active, potentially leading to more calls from other sources

What Our Users Reviewed
I could hear someone typing and then a robot voice kept asking me if they had gotten Natalie. Which in fact is my name, which alarmed me. I refused to answer and I kept hearing them typing and they kept repeating "Am I speaking to Natalie?" I hung up and they persisted to keep calling me around 3 times until I blocked their number. This all happened around 11:30 pm at night.

WRITE A REVIEWFrequently Asked Questions
Why does the caller from 02 8011 0397 already know my name?
Multiple contributors have noted that the AI bot from 02 8011 0397 (0280110397) calls using their correct first names, suggesting the number operates with pre-sourced personal information. This data may come from public directories, previous contact lists, data brokers, or prior interactions with third parties. The caller's primary goal appears to be validating that your number is active and monitored by a real person, information that can then be sold or used for further targeting.
Should I answer if I recognise my name being called by 02 8011 0397?
No. One contributor who received calls from 02 8011 0397 at 11:30 pm reported that confirming their identity (saying "yes" when asked "Are you Natalie?") appeared to trigger additional calls. Answering and confirming your presence may be recorded as validation that your number is monitored, potentially making it more valuable for sale to other callers. It's safer to let 0280110397 go to voicemail or hang up immediately.
Is the AI voice from 02 8011 0397 actually intelligent?
One contributor characterised the AI bot from 02 8011 0397 as 'not that smart honestly.' Another noted that the system seemed to have limited ability to respond to questions about where it was calling from. The robocall appears to be a simple automated system designed primarily to confirm name and number validity rather than handle complex conversations. It will repeat the same question until you engage or hang up.
What happens after 02 8011 0397 calls me?
After calls from 02 8011 0397 (0280110397), contributors reported experiencing follow-up calls from other numbers or increased telemarketing volume. The primary risk is that validation of your number as active leads to further targeting by other robocall operations or telemarketing companies. This is why blocking 02 8011 0397 and not confirming your identity is important - it prevents your number from being confirmed as a 'live' target.
Why do calls from 02 8011 0397 happen so late at night?
Reports of 0280110397 show calls at 11:30 pm, just after midnight, and 11 pm, suggesting deliberate targeting during evening and night hours. This timing may be chosen because recipients are more likely to answer unexpectedly or be less cautious when woken or caught off guard. Several contributors reported their initial reaction being alarm at receiving a call so late, followed by hanging up - exactly what the caller may be banking on.
What should I do if 02 8011 0397 keeps calling after I block it?
If calls from 02 8011 0397 persist despite blocking, document the times and dates and report to ACMA at acma.gov.au and the Do Not Call Register at donotcall.gov.au. Persistent robocalls after blocking indicate deliberate circumvention and warrant investigation. You can also report through Reverseau to contribute additional data to the community record about 0280110397's behaviour pattern.
