I got a call from someone asking about contacting a person they thought was my cousin. They claimed it was regarding some private correspondence and urged my cousin to get back to them. This definitely feels like a scam.

Just received a call off this number saying his name was Rob. Wanting me to help him get in touch with a neighbour called Kerryn. I said I don't know who you are and I don't know Kerryn and hung up.

They also claim that they’re been sending letters to that family member, sound like their problem. But other sources say scam, so do be careful.

Called my mum asking for me, knew my name and address. Said he lived in Sydney and was looking for a neighbour of mine. He started asking my mum to go over there and give them a message, but came up with every excuse why he couldn’t get into touch with them. He started getting annoyed when she called out how weird it was, he also started to say things about our neighbours that were weirdly true. Still unsure how he was asking for me from my mums number.
I received a call from this number & the guy said his name was Damen or Damian. I can’t recall. But he said that it was in regards to a private matter & was asking about the neighbour that rented next door 10 years ago.
I asked how did you get my number & he said off the marketing list.
He then asked about her partner & I said I don’t know.
I asked a second time what company he he said it’s a private matter.
I told him to not call me again.
This caller claimed they were searching for someone using my name and requested my date of birth. Clearly, they are scammers.
