Just another dodgy call – pure scam artists, that’s all I can say.
I received a call from a scammer who was speaking in Mandarin.
An unknown male rang me, speaking Chinese Mandarin (my language) and called me "sister" (but he didn't even know my name). He spoke in a very friendly manner. He told me we once met on the phone. I asked him a few times when we had spoken but he never ever answered. I tried to remember who this man might be but I could not remember ever talking to him before or giving my number to him. He said he came from America to do some business here (he said he brings things from China), and he wanted to meet me because he didn't know his way around. After a while I told him I had to go. After the phone call I was suspicious so I looked on the internet using the phone number he rang me from (0480 038 515) and found that this number is a number that is actively used by scammers. Trust your gut feelings. If it feels suspicious it probably is.
