I've also had a scam call from Gumtree replying to one of my WTB ads. I was smart enough to figure out the guy sounded nothing like his picture. He was going by a different name with a new account created 2023. Claimed to live in Port Headland but was in the army and could only provide a NSW licence. He goes by Jason and Manda.
Same as previous reviews. This number is from a scammer off Gumtree. He seemed sus so I looked on here for his number and because I found this page I was able to block him without loosing money. Avoid any Gumtree profiles that have the name Luke and were only made recently in 2023.

DOB: 19 MAR 1990.
Same deal as previous person who had been scammed.
Totally different product on Gumtree but “Luke” used the same price of $1,500.
Called me and even discussed that he had been scammed before so would take half upfront.
I asked for his licence and the exact same details as the other person who was scammed came through.
Was scammed $1500 for second hand engine, seller called me in regards to a wtb add I had up on Gumtree, pictures and video of running engine were provided via text and deposit was paid to his commonwealth account, said his name was Luke Matthew McCooke, but bank transfer had to go under Isaac McCooke. One deposit was made pick up was organized by him though tnt express, final payment was made and seller was meant to send connote number, this is when we got no response from sell and realized we had just been scammed, he and sent us pictures of his western Australia drivers license and Medicare card. Address was 34b Brookman st boulder wa 6432.

Scammer called themselves 'Luke' and said based in WA tried to elicit money for an item and offered to send a drivers licence photo to prove they were genuine. When asked for pictures of the item or an opportunity for a local meet up to see the item, 'Luke' became aggitated and demanded money first.
