Received call from 0455 311 120 twice in the last week with this scam - offering 6 months of 50% discount. Person had heavy indian accent. They knew my email and confirmed the last digits of my mobile. Then sent a code and asked me to read the code back to them. I had a feeling it was a scam and was hesitant about providing or confirming any details but as soon as I saw the code was a microsoft code I just hung up.
This number rang me twice at 4:13 PM, left no message and I've had enough of them, so it’s blocked now. Weird vibes, if you ask me!
Got a call from someone claiming to be working for Optus trying to dish out discounts. Joke's on them, I'm not even with Optus! Asked for a number to reach them back and they couldn't provide it. They started babbling about some NBN account—hilarious since I don’t have the internet! Blocked that number faster than a bad cold!
Cloned my number—it rang at 3:20 PM on June 14, but I had to block them again since they just keep coming back.
A caller claimed they were from Telstra and mentioned they had hacked my email account using a verification code. I recommend not answering calls from this number as it seems highly fraudulent.
I had my phone silenced and did not answer the call from this number.
This number showed up as Spam on my caller ID, so I chose not to answer. They also did not leave a message, which contributes to my concerns about their legitimacy.
This phone number was used by someone pretending to be Telstra. They managed to compromise my email account by obtaining my text authentication code. This is a clear case of a phishing scam aimed at stealing personal information.
Yes this lady called twice yesterday. They say your email address and your end of your mobile number then ask if a code is getting sent to your phone.
I try to keep them on the phone as long as I can so they waste more if there time not scamming someone else the turds.
Call received from an Indian lady saying she was from Telstra billing dept & was having problem sending my Telstra bill to my email address. She had both my email & phone number & she sent a microsoft code to my mobile number. First I told her I was busy & no time to talk she got offended & straight away said it will only take 3mins to fix the problem. She sent me a code & was asking me what the code was. That’s when I realize it was a microsoft code. Big question mark there, total scame thats for sure. First Telstra does not have any Indian service caller its either Aussies or Filipino, secondly my Telstra bill payment is direct debit & every month is the same so I don't really care if I get it or not. Plus if I really want access to it I can log in to the apps.
Rang saying from Telstra stating I was getting a 50%discount for 6 mths. Extremely poor english and went around in circles for 10 minutes. SCAM.
Rang at 5.30. No message left so yet another call to block.
