Vague message regarding suspension of an unnamed account along with a link pretending to be ANZ that will likely lead you to an infection.
Warning! SCAMMER!! Sent me an SMS saying my Bendigo Bank account had been suspended and to follow a link included to unblock it. Except, I don’t have a bank account with Bendigo Bank.
Scam text message received from this number. Said my account was suspended and to clink on a link to unlock it. Link had Westpac logo and asked for an account number and password. Westpac would NEVER do this!
I also got a text message from this no, saying 'Your account got suspended. Log in to verify' with a link to what appears as commbank support - as I do not have any commbank a/c I tried the link & found it to be broken!
This is definitely a scam to attract you to a bogus site looking like a bank's to get your bank login details - SO IF YOU GET SUCH message, DO NOT CLICK ON THE LINK (EVEN IF YOU HAVE AN A/C IN THAT BANK) BUT TALK TO YOUR BANK & VERIFY.
