So, I got this call out of the blue from a sharp-talking woman, claiming she was linked to some fancy Instagram investment scheme that even Gina Reinhart was supposedly backing. I got sucked in for a second but thank goodness I didn’t dive in too deep with my details. Some bloke named Jose Argos was on the other end, chatting about a $400 investment in 'AI cyber currency.' Sounds dodgy as hell, right? Just a classic scam, mate!

This caller is a scammer who attempted to gain access to my bank account. My bank took immediate action and locked my accounts to prevent any unauthorized access. Please be cautious if you receive a call from this number.

Contrary to what some may say, this number has proven to be legitimate in my wife's case, as it was involved in blocking her card from a scam transaction. If you are ever unsure, I recommend visiting the official website of the institution and contacting their fraud hotline for verification. Don't hastily dismiss the call and blacklist the number without checking.

Received this SMS this morning. I wasn't sure if it was genuine so I called the People's Choice Credit Union on their number I have on their app. They confirmed it was a message sent from their fraud department. They asked if I have made any credit card purchases lately. The last one was on Wednesday (two days ago) at Hungry Jack's. I was also asked if I had clicked any links and if I had made any online purchases around 5 am this morning. I said no because I was asleep. Because I hadn't done anything that would cause fraudulent behaviour, I was told my card number could have been generated randomly from a computer. I was advised to cancel my card and I will be sent a new one.

"Restrictions have been placed on card ending 0774 because of an attempted transaction with ' EasyPark Espana S.L.U. ' for $0.00 at 5:11. Please confirm if the transaction was genuine by replying 'yes' or 'no'. Alternatively, call Peoples Choice Fraud Department on 1300 705 750."

A report was received about a phone call claiming that a transaction for $0.00 was attempted on the user's account, resulting in it being blocked. The caller advised checking the account, stating it has since been unblocked. Users are urged to contact their actual bank’s Fraud Department if they are unfamiliar with this transaction. The contact number given for the supposed "mybank" scam and fraud department was 13xxxx.

I received a text message alerting me about suspicious activity on my credit card. The message included the last four digits of my card and instructed me to call a fraud number for my bank, which appeared to have the correct name. This is clearly a scam attempt.
