Its a scam caller pest!
Same happened to me.
Just had these people call about a better energy deal. I wasted an hour of their time checking deals only for them to need personal identifying information. I told them, can't do on a cold call. They were insistent that they have to get that, the same as other companies need to change provider. I said no. They said they were wanting to sign me up with EnergyAustralia, Energy Australia but would not provide a means of me being able to contact them directly to validate. Shame on EnergyAustralia if they have allowed this company to make offers for them. They have tried to ring back 5 times now.
