Understanding the Danger of 0411 235 674
It has come to our attention that the phone number 0411 235 674 has been reported by multiple users as a potential scam. This number has been linked to deceitful claims, where individuals receive calls allegedly from DHL and texts from a purported employee of Datafuel.
Nature of the Scam
The user reviews indicate a multi-faceted scam operation. According to one report from 15 November 2023, the caller claimed to represent DHL, only to switch to English after starting the conversation in what appeared to be an Asian dialect. This bait-and-switch tactic is a common strategy employed by scammers to obscure their true identity and confuse the recipient.
Moreover, a subsequent report on 16 August 2024 described how a recipient received a textual message shortly after a missed call. The message inaccurately addressed the recipient and suggested a prior business interaction that never occurred. Complaints highlight this as a manipulation tactic, intending to create a false sense of familiarity and urgency.
Why This Number is Classified as a Scam
- Impersonation: The use of well-known organisations like DHL and Datafuel indicates an attempt to exploit trust.
- Plausible Denial: The claim of a missed call followed by a confusing text aims to mislead recipients into believing there is a serious inquiry.
- Lack of Authentic Communication: Users reported receiving unsolicited communication that lacked any evidence of prior contact, casting serious doubt on its legitimacy.

What Our Users Reviewed
Just received a call from this number but I didn't answer.20 seconds later I received a text from the same number stating 'Hey Brenton, Sandy Farquharson here from Datafuel - called bit (sic) missed you - you might not have attached the PO to your email - can't seem to find it.
Firstly, I am not Brenton, Secondly I have never, in my life, had any contact with a Sandy Farquharson or a company called Datafuel and Thirdly, if I had sent an email why would they not have just replied to it.
This is totally a number. Being used to scam people.
The caller claimed to be from DHL, but I noticed the voice started in an Asian language before translating to English, which made me question the legitimacy of the call.
