These clowns pretended to be from AMEX and were fishing for my PIN! Total scammers! Reported 'em to AMEX with the 1300 numbers. If anyone says it's legit, they're in on it!

2017.June : same story " transaction on old AMEX card was been refused". Called the number back (on landline) = disconnected.
I think this number is a hoax. Just received message that a transaction had been attempted with an old card. AMEX usually email if issue or call direct if any issues which is why I continue to use AMEX. I will be blocking this number.
I get a message from AMEX every Sunday providing my current balance. It is a genuine message and gives the correct information.

First that my American Express card had a attempted transaction exceeding the limit and to call the number on the back of the card Second that my David Jones card is over the limit and to visit the David Jones web site. When I phoned AM the message was to call back business hours and I do not have a DJ card. When I phoned the number I received a message that it is disconnected. It sounds like a scam to me but I can not see what they are getting out of it.
