I did not answer this call that came in on August 27, 2024, at 1:40 PM. I prefer not to answer calls from unidentified numbers and have since blocked the number.
This is the second call I received from this number today, and once again, no one was on the line when I answered. The call originated from Victoria.
The caller leaves an automated message in Cantonese. I recommend blocking this number to avoid any further disturbances.

When I mentioned I didn't use the internet at home, they quickly changed the narrative to my mobile internet. The caller had a heavy Indian accent and became irritated when I asked for clarification. This is definitely a scam; just hang up, block the number, and move on with your day.
This is a known scam call. I strongly advise against answering or engaging with them; it’s best to block their number.
An automated voice message informed me that an online company is attempting to process a payment of approximately $1000. The message instructed me to press 1 immediately if this charge is incorrect, which seemed unusual and concerning.
