I just got a message left on my answering machine from Jason O'Connor claiming that he was from the Australian Taxation Office. He said that there is a lawsuit pending in my local Commonwealth Courthouse and that if I do not respond that police will be on my doorstep. I was to call 0261403485. He never mentions my surename etc. Not responding!
I had a so called Jason o Connor call saying police were on my doorstep soon.
I had this exact same call from Jason O'Conner..which is very odd because it was on a new number through Telstra..
I received a call from this loser today. He was very persistent. As I answer the phone at work, this was very very poor form. He first said the business was being investigated. So naturally, I was trying to get as much info as possible to pass the message on to my boss. However he then turned it on me and said, I personally was about to be arrested, he actually said, the police are now on their way to arrest you. I have since called back several times and said nothing. It's not just one scammer, Jason O'Connor, it's a heap of them. This is very scary stuff. If you get a missed call from this number, inform him he is about to be caught.

Message received on landline voicemail. From a person stating he was from the Australian Taxation Office. He said his name was Jason O'Connor and there had been a law suit filed against our name (not mentioning any actual name), and before the police arrived at the door we needed to call him back on 0261403485. After contacting the ATO on the official number it was confirmed that this was a scam.

A Jason O'Connor from the ATO left a voice message on our answering machine saying that we are named in a law for tax evasion. That we should ring him on this number 'before a police officer approaches you on your doorstep". I recorded the message.
Caller claims to be an ATO employee and threatens that your currently being investigated. They are not an ATO employee, do not provide any information to them. Instead report it.
