Received a call saying I won holiday to Florida hung after that as had not entered any comp to go to USA Scam.
Received a call from this number during the week informing me I was under investigation for fraud - knew it was a scam straight away, decided to call the number back for a bit of fun.
Phone took a while to connect, after about 3 seconds of silence it finally started to ring in an international ringtone.
Lady picked up the phone who could hardly speak English - questioned who she was and why I needed to return the call. She asked what "what message left for you" told her to kindly &$@& off and hung up.
I have a relative in the ATO who has informed me that this is happening a fair bit and to disregard any voice mail or email from the ATO - The ATO will only contact you via paper mail.
