It was headed ‘Timothy Fernandez’ and claimed to be an ’official renewal receipt’, with auto-renew every three years unless auto-renewal is disabled’, for a $234.99 auto-debit to pay for a Camera Privacy Guard on a Personal Shield Plan. The email said that, ‘if you did not authorize this transaction, you have 12 hours to initiate a cancellation and receive an immediate refund... For assistance, kindly reach out to our dedicated customer support team at: +1 865 293 8312’. The foot of the email had Copyright 2026 Geek Squad and said it was a system generated email.
