What Our Users Reviewed
Received a full screen takeover on a windows 10 PC with W10 and McAfee antivirus up to date.
It was immediately following opening and reading an email and opening Facebook.
It said the PC had been used by scammers and Microsoft had locked the PC, do not try to turn it off, that we must call Microsoft on 61-1800-950-480. Also, it had opened a window to sign into Microsoft.
The sign in window did not look like the usual MS sign in, but the Microsoft name and Logo looked in style as you might expect.
I Ctrl/ Alt/ Delete and signed out of Windows. After signing back in I ran antiviruses which found nothing. The PC is working normally.
Be careful out there, some nasty players.
