I also received an SMS regarding a "DISBURSEMENT" of AU$2589 for an E-card farewell card that I recently donated a small amount to through PayPal. It seems this scammer can access when PayPal payments are made and then follows up with a bogus Dispute option and a phone number to ring.
Just received the message. $500 from my PayPal account to Intel which I believe to be a computer co. I don't have a PayPal account.
Received a false message 01/07/2021 (from 477266482) to call this number "For Dispute!" regarding a payment of A$2500.00 for Q-Card @Pay.Pal_TCS. (double checked PayPal to ensure there had been no such payment).
Same thing received a text message asking me to call that number regarding a $500 PayPal transaction, SUUUURE it was.
Complete scam - claimed a $1500 payment has been made through my PayPal account. Told me to call this 1800 number. SMS came from 0455451758.
I received an sms telling me that my PayPal account had been debited to the tune of $1500 by a company called Serg. Co Services Ltd and that I should ring 1800940887 if I had a problem with that. I didn't ring because I believe it to be a scam.
