Yep, I got a pop up saying it was from Microsoft Security Alert saying that I had a severe security breach and at risk of or had been hacked, that Microsoft had blocked access from my computer and to call this number. The pop up window refused to quit until I went into task manager and ended the task from there. Honestly how do these numbers even exist when they make it so hard for you these days to even get a sim card. Its confounding!

This is the phone number used by internet scammers who hijack your web browser, then pretend to be microsoft and want you to pay them to fix your computer. Even though it's not broken!! How do scum like this even get a phone number to start with?

If you're getting this on your screen you have adware/malware. Not a virus, download malwarebytes, or another adware remover. Install and run it and it will remove those popups. It is NOT microsoft. Do not let them get control of your PC, they are not genuine. Take it to your local PC repair guy if unsure.

I just had a customer with this issue. Scammers. If you have paid them money, contact your bank immediately, cancel credit cards and see if the bank can get your money back, also contact police and report it.

I just got a pop-up message on Google telling me that my laptop had been infected with a porn virus and to call this number immediately or else my computer would be seriously damaged! I called the number. Whoever is on the other side of this number got access on my laptop coz I followed his steps which he was telling me. After few minutes he said there is very big problem in your laptop n then he was asking for 300 pounds to fix it up. I said I don't have money to pay then he hung up. Now I am very worried coz he got access on my laptop for few minutes. Can he misuse the photos n others details which was in my computer. How can I protect myself n my laptop from this hacker. Can anyone plzzz plzzzz help me........

Got the pop up saying "Apple security alert" for serious virus infection.

Called the number and the person asked for $190 one time service fee. Very suspicious, I didn't pay. Tried to restart and quit safari to get out from that pop up page. Safari is working again with no issue.

I just got a pop-up message on Google Chrome telling me that my computer had been infected with a porn virus and to call this number immediately or else my computer would be seriously damaged! Being my naive self, I called the number. Big mistake. Incredibly, incredibly dodgy, could barely understand the guy on the other side and could hear a tv going in the background. Whoever is on the other side of this number is pretty much trying to hack into your computer and access your details/data, so do yourself a favour and don't call this number!!! The pop-up message is a scam.

I got a pop-up 'warning' claiming to be Microsoft Support telling me to phone this number immediately. Very suspicious as the pop-up wouldn't close and the text style was crappy and full of punctuation errors. Checked the number and - sure enough - it wasn't Microsoft at all. DO NOT call this number. It is a scam.

Yeah happened to me. Freaked out at first but realised that the pop-up text had a few grammatical mistakes in it and didn't look like it came from Apple. Just force quite the browser.

Thanks to this site I didn't fall for it! I also got the porn virus error code and called the number but was suspicious of the guy on the other end because he didn't say he was from Apple. So I googled the number and this came up. Remember it's a SCAM! Thanks guys :).

The very same thing happened to me yesterday. An error occurred saying it had a porn virus with an error code. I stupidly rang the number and gave access to the person. He sounded Indian and seemed so legit showing me through each step and giving me information about the virus. He then asked for personal details name, phone number, email address and visa details. I can't believe I could be so stupid to give them these details!!! I am now cancelling my credit card and have restored my computer which has fixed the problem.

I was on a Kdrama website and I normally have the Adblock program running (I use Google Chrome) but the site said that in order to view the video I had to disable Adblock as the site earns profit from the advertisements. So I did. As soon as I disabled it, a pop up appeared with a pink/red Apple logo with the number '1800 023 081 TOLL FREE' above it. Then another pop up appeared saying that a porn virus was detected in my Mac and that if I didn't treat it ASAP the virus would hack into my whole system and would try to steal pictures, data and social networking passwords. It also stated an error code on the pop up. I was super scared so I immediately called the number and a man with an Indian accent picked up. He told me he was from Apple and asked me to tell him the error code so I did. After telling him the number, he said that this was a very serious issue that needed to be fixed. He instructed me to go to a website "(www).support.me" and after putting in a six digit code my laptop downloaded a 'logmein' app. He said that he needed this so he could see my screen on his laptop so he could help fix the problem. He also showed me his credentials claiming that he was a legitimate Apple technician. After looking at my screen, he told me that this issue was more serious than expected and that he needed to talk to a professional from a different company. He said he wasn't sure if the professionals would take my case in and told me to wait 5 minutes or so. After that time he told me that (thankfully) the professionals took my case in but I had to pay $199 to get the problem fixed permanently or $129 for the virus to be fixed for 6 months (I can't remember the exact prices). I then had to talk to my parents and my parents told me it was a scam, but it seemed so real that I didn't believe it. That's when my sister searched the number up on Google and this site came up and that's how we knew for sure that it was a scam. I've learnt my lesson to not be so gullible again. PLEASE DON'T FALL FOR THIS, IT MAY SEEM VERY LEGITAMITE BUT IT IS ALL A SCAM.

I'm scared that they may access other valuable information because they have my phone number and they logged into my Mac... Also we took photos of the pop ups but there is no option to share photos on this site.

I got told a virus had infected my PC and was trying to steal pics, data and social networking passwords. It looked dodgy, so I googled it first before calling the 1800 823 081 number it said to call. Turns out it is VERY dodgy!

New browser pops up and ask me to call this number which is called apple care on that browser and keep talk like a machine female voice my mac is infected.

This is called phishing attack, this particular attack usually is coming from torrent downloads.

When you download the torrent it also downloads the torrent file containing information acting as it to be from microsoft.

I too called them up out of curiosity, someone picked up in india, and told they are in california.

And their company name to be live solutions etc.

Asked him how much would it cost to fix this he said roughly 100 or 150 dollor I said, kick your ass you son of a beep, you guys upload this malware on various sites and them people download it and you give them your number to call back and get tech support.

And then I could only hear.................... Engage tone.

Anyone know how to remove it from Google chrome? I tried uninstalling and reinstalling to remove but no luck. Also installed malware but nothing suspicious was found. Please help!!!!

I just got this also. I called the number out of interest who would answer but hung up on them immediately. I shut down my laptop and in the meantime they called me back twice and hung up on my voice mail. Stupidly I didn't think to set my number as private before calling. Just with my contact number they can't do anything like access my system can they? I never even said hello let alone give them the code, which I assume would have been what opened the door for them.

My wife got this message on Windows laptop this morning saying she had a porn virus etc. She rang the number already with a degree of suspicion. An Indian guy answered and she gave him the error code number which she believes he didn't take any interest in and didn't record. She said she couldn't understand his language and asked for someone else. He came back a moment later trying to sound like a different person. She argued with him a bit then said she would call the police if he didn't put someone else on. He claimed that there was no one available etc. Started asking for bank details etc then she hung up. She ran system restore to an earlier restore point and problem was gone.

I saw it and immediately blocked the page from opening any more dialogues inside of Google Chrome. It's just spam that turns to scam if you're stupid enough to call the number.

Whenever you see anything on the internet, just assume it's bullshit until you've got evidence to prove otherwise. Not the other way around.

The same thing happened to me and I stupidly have the guy the error code that was displayed on the notification telling me there was a pron virus on my laptop. Would I be able to be hacked from that? I didn't give the guy any of my details.

I got this message today and the gullible me decided to call the number. "Sam Carter" who has an Indian accent remote connected to my machine. He asked me to download an app so he can check what's wrong. He then told me the problem is not with the device but with the network connection. Asked $199usd to fix the laptop and $149usd for the other devices that link to the Macbook. I already doubted when he talked about the amount so I told him we'll do it another time. Question: is there anything he could do because at one point he remote connected to my machine?

My iMac came up with a message saying your computer has been infected with a Porn Virus and to call apple security on this number, I knew this was fake because I knew Apple didn't have a number like that and my computer is not used for porn. And if I didn't know this stuff I probably would've been scammed. Thanks guys so much your comments helped. Probably just a scammer.

I fixed the problem by clicking safari on the top bar and clicking reset safari, I then force quit safari turned wifi off an on and then opened safari again and everything was back to normal.

This number has come up on my computer stating that it is a apple security team phone number. It looks like it isn't and my computer is currently unusable.

I also just got this message come up on my computer screen and I couldn't log out or do anything. Called the number, then hang up straight away fearing a hacker or prank. They then called me back from a Swiss number so I knew it was a scam. Have since blocked both numbers.

I called them and told them the error code. Will that mean that they can hack my computer? Or they were just trying to get money?

This is absolutely a spam phone number, I got a message saying that a 'porn virus' was attempting to breach my security, they got a lot of my details but once they asked for my credit card number I realised it was a scam and hung up the phone.

Some error message saying there's virus appeared telling me to contact the number and I did cause it says it's from Windows Support. The man even asked me to write down his name - Ryan Lee and id:MAC 234S1. He asked me to install logmein and made an assessment of my computer and said to rectify the issue I will have to pay a toll of $299.99. I didn't go ahead of course.

Hi, it's not hacker's it's just a scam corporation, best thing just pranking the f*k out of them.

This number came up as a Windows Support number in a virus message on my computer. The message also said it was Windows System generated message. DO NOT RING THIS NUMBER - it will take you to hackers. By the time you realise you will not be able to access your computer. Get the real Windows number for support.
