I actually rang the number while I checked this page. Was a call Centre. I could hear similar conversations in the background. The guy wanted to take control of my computer remotely to"fix" the problem. I saw the comments above and no indication that the number was genuine so I said bye to the guy, used Task Manager to shut IE down and ran a computer scan. No threats. Almost scammed I was.

Had the PC screen lockup with a flashing display stating I had a virus or five and to urgently ring this number. No ISP listed.

I turned the PC off (no other way of getting rid of the message)and disconnected the Ethernet cable, ran my antivirus and Malwarebytes which discovered nothing.

Connected Ethernet cable and all appeared normal.

Went back to the site I was visiting when the message appeared and it was normal.

Certainly looks like a scam.

It has captured my screen and I suspect I will be asked to pay to get it unlocked.

It came out on my screen computer while I try to watch a movie online. I didn't click anything on the page then suddenly its appeared then told me to ring TPG (my isp provider) with this number 1800762966. But I just shut down the computer and disconnected Ethernet cable then turn the computer on again. Then I checked TPG phone numbers and there are different number. Its must be a scammer try to rob computer owner money, I guess.

This number came up when I was trying to stream a movie online. The pop up stated that this was a message from Dodo internet service provider and to call them urgently. Pretty sure this is a scam.
