It's a scam and looks like it's very active today as most of these posts seem to have gone up in the past 24 hours. Since it is a 1800 number, there must be some register of it, so I'll be reporting them.

I was suspicious and after finding this blog I was convinced.
So I hid my caller ID and called that number.
However, if I kept getting the busy tone.
That's because the scammer's system blocks anonymous calls.
I did not want to confirm my phone number by calling them.
Otherwise I would have spent 30 minutes screwing with their brain.
You'll most likely receive this number from an australian mobile number text, saying you've purchased a laptop or something, if you call the number some indian scam callcentre answers saying they're Amazon, to sound legit they'll text you a 6 digit security code to "confirm it's you" then ask for your bank a/c or credit card number so they can "refund you" I say have some fun with them. I just pretended I was confused and kept giving them random numbers until this one woman started screaming hysterically at me to stop wasting her time lol.
About 10 mins ago I received this SMS message on my mobile from +61423614924 ... 'Payment AU$2099.99 for [Dell intel core i9 Touch Laptop] Successful, AMA_ZON#19212171 (link) SR5. Helpline +61 1800 549 861 (link) For dispute.

Received SMS stating that a A$1989.99 payment for a Lenovo laptop was successful. Obvious a scam trying to get people to phone the number (+61 1800 549 861 in this instance) and presumably try to get their bank details and/or other personal info. Block, delete & report to alert others.
Received a message saying my purchase for an Apple computer was successful through a supposed Amazon transaction. Funny that, I actively avoid Amazon, Australians weren’t acceptable to them for years!!!! Rang the number provided. It was answered by an Asian gentlemen, and I do use that term very loosely, and told him to stop scamming me. Number now Blocked.
Said I paid $2299 for a canon camera - scam.
SCAM regarding a dell laptop.
Its a scam I just received an sms for purchasing a mac book and to call this number, delete and block.
Just had an SMS saying a A$2239 payment had been successful for a Canon camera. This is the ‘helpline’ number. Luckily, no such purchase had been made, but if it had been by coincidence (or not), easy for unsuspecting people to fall for it. Can’t believe people scam people like this.
SCAM. Delete and block the number!
It's a scam claiming to be Amazon.
I believe this number is being used for illegal purposes. My partner received a text message that appeared to be from an Australian mobile number about a computer purchase they had not made. The text message included the number 1800 549 861. When this number was called they answered as "Amazon" and wanted to know bank details. I believe this was a spam message and the 1800 number is being used for illegal purposes.
I just received a sms stating they are from Amazon and approved a payment which I haven't done. I called this number and someone claiming as he is from Amazon. She gave me the last 4 digit of a one of my cancelled card and wanted to have the full card details to cancel purchase. She further advised if I am not been able to provide card details, the purchase would go through. To be on the safer side, I immediately called the company who issued that card and got confirmation that this card has been cancelled. So it looks like a scam. Do not ever provide any of active cards to them.
Scan message delete it don’t open the link.
Just received a text stating that payment for a new MacBook Pro had just been received from me, and that if I had any dispute with this to call the premium number. Obviously a scam message to get you to call. I'd suggest you delete / block the number as soon as you receive it.
Scam.
