What the heck is going on here? These blokes keep hounding our business for payment, and when I called the legit FedEx number, they tossed me around like a hot potato! I end up speaking to someone who claims to be genuine, but now I'm just confused about this GST payment nonsense. What a headscratcher!
So I got this message from a number that’s floating around, and honestly, it's super weird. They reference both 1800 111 112 and 13 26 10, which seems odd if it were a real deal. Now I feel like I need to keep an eye on things. Thanks for the heads up on that FedEx page!
Just to let everyone know, I’ve been keeping tabs on this number and those sneaky texts asking for my last name regarding 'customs clearance' definitely smell like a scam. I checked the FedEx site, and my parcel is still on the move. Don’t fall for this dodgy rubbish, folks!
This one's definitely a scam and a total phishing effort. Seriously, it’s outrageous that they think asking for extra cash or personal info is normal to get a package. Checked my tracking number on the official FedEx Australia site, and everything looks peachy – no action needed from my end!
This call is not spam. Initially, I received a phone call followed by an email requesting documents for customs clearance of a parcel. However, I suggest verifying their legitimacy by checking the official website.
Got a scam text with a fedex heading asking for payment of customs charges with this number linked as well as 132610.
This is a scam: once your genuine FedEx parcel passes through certain ports or airports, they fraudulently acquire your tracking number and send you an SMS to trick you into giving them money. While I haven't been scammed by this method myself, it's reported to be quite common in places like Lantau Island, Hong Kong.
There seems to be a lot of confusion about this number, but it appears to be legitimate. The number is listed on FedEx's website and is related to customs or duties for goods valued over $1,000 AUD.
This is definitely a scam! The legitimate FedEx number is 132610, but it's difficult to find on their official site. If you're ever in doubt, I would recommend calling your supplier directly. They even had my tracking number! Just remember, import tax is the sender's responsibility, not the buyer's, so verify before making any payments.
This is definitely a scam! They seem to have acquired FedEx user data to appear legitimate, but I can confirm that they are not trustworthy. I ignored their calls and text messages, which are similar to what others have reported, and my package from China arrived on schedule from the real FedEx.
I encountered a sophisticated scam following a purchase from an Australian website for a low-value item priced at $70. The item was shipped via FedEx from Hong Kong, and soon after, I began receiving numerous missed phone calls. I received a brief call and then a text message from "FedEx-Exp" regarding a delivery fee/ importation fee scam related to my purchase.
This is definitely a scam. The caller claimed to be from FedEx, but I checked their contact number online and it's not the same. It's a clever scam that’s hard to detect nowadays!
Before concluding that this number is a scam, it is recommended to verify it through the official FedEx Australia number, 132610, and select option 1. The user confirmed its legitimacy with customer service, suggesting that it may be legitimate.
A reminder: if you were informed about a parcel's arrival and additional payment was requested, consider whether the parcel was indeed going to arrive regardless of the payment. It raises suspicion that the extra funds might have gone to a scammer instead.
I received a text message from "FedEx-EXP" stating that a package I ordered, worth over $1000, was held at AUS customs and required payment of a fee. To verify the message, I contacted FedEx via email and phone, and confirmed that the text was indeed from them. While it initially seemed suspicious, it turned out to be legitimate.
I spoke to this number, and it appears to be legitimate. They asked for my tracking number to verify the shipment details related to my order.
Not a scam I called fedex and got through and they confirmed.
I received both an SMS and a follow-up call concerning my shipment. Subsequently, my seller contacted me, stating that they were approached by these individuals who claimed that I had refused to cooperate. Meanwhile, my shipment's tracking indicates that it is still on its way. I suspect this may be a scam trying to gather my personal information.
I got a text message asking me to make a payment for a shipment related to my business. To ensure its legitimacy, I contacted FedEx directly using their official number (13 26 10), and they confirmed that it was a legitimate communication. I hope this information is helpful!
This is not a scam; it is actually FedEx. You might have been listed as a recipient for an overseas parcel and need to provide details for Australian customs. Although the text appeared suspicious, it was legitimate.
I received a call and a message that seemed legitimate regarding delivery, and I decided to call FedEx from their official number, 132 610, to verify its authenticity. In case you receive this message, I recommend reaching out to FedEx directly to confirm that it’s not a scam.
There are conflicting reports about whether this caller is a scam or legitimate. I'm confused about the nature of this call due to the differing opinions in the comments!
I received an email from someone identifying themselves as Dempsey via Federal Express, which looked suspicious. The rest of the email details were not clear, and it seems odd. I’m curious to hear if anyone else has experienced something similar.
I ordered 2 ClearPhones from the USA to come to Australia, and was VERY suspicious when a text and email arrived claiming to be from FedEx saying I owed over $300 more. I did everything I could think of to verify the 1800111112 number. In the end I just phoned it! After being cut off several times (they must have been really busy), I finally got through. The number is legitimate as of 22 June 2023.
This number is involved in a complete scam, and reports suggesting otherwise seem dubious. I contacted FedEx and the shipper, as well as the Federal Police, to investigate this. I advise not to click on any links or call back.
I want to report this number as a scam! FedEx does not use this phone number for any of their communications.
I got an SMS pretending to be from FedEx, asking me to make a payment via bpoint for tax or duties due on an online package I supposedly ordered. I contacted FedEx directly and confirmed that this message is indeed a scam, as they did not send it.
Its a fed-ex scam as the customs and tax email and phone numbers on the australian website don't match the ones on the email and text they they sent.
Id like to know if this number is a scam because they are asking me to pay $361.00 for a parcel I am waiting on. I already paid shipping and handling but they are claiming to be customs 1800 111 112.
1800 111 112: It is a genuine numbers. Maybe they did a wrong number from their department.
Yes I recieved a callfrom someone saying they were from fed ex. It is a scam I have reported it to the fraud department at fed ex.
