I just received this message by SMS:

You've paid $1499.99 AUD for E-CARD "iINC*Pay_Pal on 2021/07/14 TXN-ID If its not done by you, Call us now: (+61)-1800-020427 for DISPUTE!!

I called the number sceptical as to whether a scam, but concerned. The person who received my call verified my full name, email address, telephone number and home address (I didn't give to them, they told me) they then sent me a code via SMS so I could authorise access to my 'PayPal' account with them. They then provided the last 4 digits of each of my card numbers and asked me to confirm the full card number so that they could 'refund' the amount. I told the guy I was speaking to I wasn't willing to do that over the phone to which he said he would get his supervisor to speak with me. I gave the same response to his 'supervisor' who then proceeded to get irritated with me.

I told him I would check in with my financial institutions and block any suspicious transactions through them to which he became quite rude...(apparently some dude called Mark Williams is trying to take my money).
