Had a call from this person telling me that they were from Telstra Technical and were wanting to make a time to install a modem etc and connect me to the National Broadband Network, very insistent had all my personal details, Gave me a Telstra contact No. And his employee No told me that the Telstra Ph No. Was 132000 whereas the real Telstra No is 132200.
Wanted me to go to a website and download free software which is Ha Ha required for the National Broadband Network connection told him no he became very insistent and said if I didn't they would disconnect my landline, told him go ahead, still have my landline 24hrs later. There is no National Broadband Network anywhere near my property.
Later rang the 132000 number which has the Proper Telstra intro obviously.
Copied and you could believe you were contacting Telstra.
All very clever but obviously just a scam to get malware into your computer which would give access.
