Tech Support Scam.

Method: Vulnerable (incorrectly secured) websites, when attempting to download (say) a PDF, will produce a pop-up urging you to call 1300 856 527. Don't call it.

Owner of this number (manned in India) is uttered as MSIT Creations in Montana USA.

They want access to your computer and will attempt to get money from you for fixing a problem that does not exist. Do not allow them to access your computer.

At time of reporting, there is no web site and no way of hunting them down. If someone can add more PLEASE DO. They won't speak to me any more. Le Sigh.
