I have been getting several calls a day from mobile numbers, plus 03 and 02 prefix numbers leaving messages on my messagebank claiming to be Click Energy and responding to an online enquiry I didn't make. They are leaving the 1300 789 072 number for me to call back. I am seriously very annoyed to be continually harassed. How can I get them to stop??
Just had a call from 1300 789 072 stating that they were from Click Energy Retention regarding an account that I had just disconnected.. He gave his name as Lorenzo Bello and his Agent # was 20170293. He wanted to give me a special rate. He had all of my information about a previous account that had been closed and details of my current account. To get the details he needed to verify me which I wasn't happy with, given they had called me. I was very suspicious as no one gives out discounts when they have not been asked for!.
Final straw was he asked me to confirm by Date of Birth.... I hung up.
I am a click energy customer. I received a call from this number (03 8691 0728) today (27/9/2017)from a lady called "Kim" with a Vietnamese sounding accent, who claimed to be from Click Energy. When she immediately started asking for my personal information, I asked for a number to call them back on. They provided me the number 1300 789 072. When I called the number there was short recorded message for for "Go-switch" energy comparison, then a man with an American (Asian?) accent said welcome to Click Energy. I hung up.
I just got a call from this number claiming to be Click Energy. They asked for private information to do their ID check which I refused to give and said I will call them back. They gave me this number. Instead I rang the Click Energy number on my bill and they told me that they were not aware of a call being made to me or needing to talk to me.
Now I am interested. So I rang that number back and it was answered immediately - first alarm bell. No welcome to Click Energy nor on hold music. The person even knew who I was without me saying anything - second alarm bell. But the person said it was about my disconnection that I had organized - so they did have some information about me that was right. Anyway I told them I didn't believe who they were and hung up.
Be careful out there people!
Just has call from a person who claimed to be from click energy and asked for information to verify my account. I asked for a call back number and they quoted 1300 789 072.
Upon checking with click energy via their phone number off the internet, they stated that the 1300 789 072 is not a phone number of theirs.
I received a call from Caresa in the retention department of Click Energy, who offered me a new deal with Click. She advised she wanted either my drivers licence, medicare card or passport for identification purposes to change the plan. I did not provide this as I could not recall doing this in the past, she advised me to call her back on 1300 789 072. I rang the Click customer service line and was transferred to retention who could not confirm this number but did say they had an off shore company calling customers. Not sure if this is a scam or not but suggest ringing Click direct to confirm any new deals.
Verified.
I received a call from this number by someone claiming to be from Click Energy asking for security information. I asked for their number to call them back before giving any details and then called the actual Click Energy number.
Click verified that no call was made to my number from them and that the number that the person had given (1300 789 072) was not one of theirs.
This is definitely a scam, beware.
This number is calling around pretending to be an electricity company, asking customers for their full details and claiming that they will disconnect customers details if they don't give their full details and agree with terms and conditions again over the phone.
