This IS the Foxtel account overdue number....... Not a scam.....sigh.
Just got the same message on my mobile - concur all here - dirty roltten SCAM - they'd obviously put a lot of effort into it though - I went online to check the number, then called from a separate landline just to see what would happen - they have recorded the automated messaging (voices/hold music etc) from foxtel so it even sounds legit - be careful out there!
I got a new phone sim and in 3-4day I got a text from FOXTEL I owe $92.41 to someones foxtel account. Definately a scam.
SCAM ...I got a message from this number saying my direct debit account with foxtel was unsuccessful, to call this number to update my details, it had a highlighted link to go to the web site or call this number. This is a scam my account was in credit. I deleted the message.

Its the phone number that appears on your Austar IO box when you get an account message 1300788560 call it and it goes thanks for calling Foxtel thought I remembered the number.
Absolutely, definitely a scam. Received a message today (4/9/15) to call this number to pay for an overdue Foxtel account. Foxtel's legitimate number is 131 999. I have reported the scame to ACCC's ScamWatch ([link] and Telstra. And Telstra have blocked the number.
